Position Title:​​ Merchandising Manager

Objective of role:
Planning & Purchasing for ALL brands and products distributed and/or produced by The Company as well as ALL purchases of POS materials,  other materials, etc. sold, distributed or consumed by The Company. 

Key accountabilities:

• Accountable for Sales & profitability through responsible management of assigned product categories (margin, stock day, assortment mix)
• Ensure sufficient inventories at all times
• Responsible for accurate procurement and effectively manage stock commitment so as to maximize sales and profit
• Good control of allocation for catalogued lines to stores
• To Strategize and execute budget plans (OTB) and estimates for both the Buying Fair and in-season estimates
• To manage the stock levels for the relevant categories and keep them within the limits set within the budget

• Manage price changes to ensure effective control of stock
• Review and take action on end-of- season stock and sales
• Calculate cost of reductions and manage end-of-season stocks to meet agreed targets
• Work closely with the selling floor teams analysing and identifying trends through sales and stock information and regular store visits
• Ensure merchandise objectives for the business are clearly understood and embraced by all areas
• Provide accurate and up-to-date information to Management and Operations
• To develop and grow profitable and sustainable vendor / distributor relationships
• Collate, compile, analyse and present weekly and monthly sales report to Management
• Focuses on the budgets and targets set in order to achieve company goals
• To perform any other duties as required to fulfil the objectives of the department.
